it may be a walk in the woods or around the park. It may be a quiet time early in the morning when everyone else is asleep or it may be a quiet time some where along the day when you step away from the day's many duties and pause to rest your soul. Everyone needs sacred times, places where mind, heart, body, spirit gravitate to a inner sense of Centeredness, Balance, Renewal,God. So it is as I write this thought to share with you.

ONE THING IS CLEAR. THE WORK OF BIBLICAL STUDY, READING OF A VARIED KIND IS WORK I CAN NEVER RETIRE FROM. THAT IS BECAUSE MY OWN MIND,EMOTION,SPIRIT,BODY,SOUL REQUIRES THE NURTURE AND INSIGHT I GAIN FROM THIS ENGAGEMENT. I AM NURTURED IN THIS WORK. THUS I LOOK FOR THOUGHTS FOR THE DAY TO SEND TO YOU, BUT ALSO TO LIGHT MY OWN PATH FOR THE DAY. GOD'S CALL IS TO EVERYONE IN EVERY VOCATION OF LIFE. Many days may be spent away, alone in the forest, listening, becoming aware of the sounds and movements of creatures, wind, Great Spirit.---Elijah is spiritual leader of the people. He is tired and frustrated with the distraction and unfaithfulness of the people in living true to their spiritual heritage, values. Now, he is off alone, secluded, discouraged. In that setting he becomes aware of God's presence---"a gentle and quiet whisper.."---So is it for us today. Many voices, appeals, demands, expectations, duties, wants.......keep the quiet moments.....settling down and in rituals.......awareness of the quiet whisper.....
