HE ASKED MOTHER THERSA TO PRAY FOR HIM THAT GOD WOULD GIVE HIM CLARITY ABOUT HIS FUTURE AND WHAT HE SHOULD DO. TO HIS SURPRISE SHE REFUSED AND TOLD HIM SHE WOULD PRAY FOR WHAT HE REALLY NEEDED, WHICH WAS TRUST. SHE TOLD HIM THAT SHE HAD NEVER BEEN GIVEN CLARITY, ONLY TRUST.======LIFE IS SOMETIMES MIGHTY WINDY AND ROUGH AND WE DON'T KNOW THE OUTCOME. Easter
>
> we are at the beginning of Holy Week, the days leading to crucification and resurrection. next Sunday is Easter. the world of Jesus was a mess. people were in all kinds of trouble. injustice, poverty, violence, conflict, despair, hatred and it seemed the few years Jesus had been here practicing the message of Good News, peace, forgiveness, hope, good works, the Kingdom of God and Righteousness but it seemed to make no real difference in the mess of life for many people. i think Jesus felt some discouragement too. BUT he did not give up. he stayed the course and remained faithful to the will of God as he understood it. even though he new what was about to happen he stayed faithful to God in his life. well, here we are all those years later and the people who killed Jesus are long forgotten but all over the world people are finding peace, forgiveness, hope, renewal, good o yes, the world is still a mess and things in many ways are no better than in the day of Jesus, but there are points of light spotted all through the darkness. people are being made new every day. i am inspired, you are inspired to do good and love and show kindness. in the midst of the mess is the Message and the Message will out last the mess anywhere at any time. count on it……

Pay Attention to where you are NOW
THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL GET TO TOMORROW IS TO BE WHERE YOU ARE TODAY. THE ONLY WAY YOU WILL GET THROUGH THE REST OF TODAY IS PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE YOU ARE NOW. THE SECRET OF RICH LIVING IS TO PAY ATTENTION TO WHERE YOU ARE AND LET YOURSELF EXPERIENCE GOD'S LOVE FOR YOU IN THIS MOMENT. WHETHER YOU ARE IN JOY OR PAIN PAY ATTENTION, LISTEN, FEEL, EXPERIENCE BEING ALIVE IN THE MOMENT. DON'T WORRY ABOUT TOMORROW TODAY….THANKS BE TO GOD FOR NOW…..HAVE A WONDER-FILLED DAY.

> I got into conversation this morning with someone I have only recently met. It so happens this man at one time lived in the same part of the county I had lived many years ago. There flowed from the two of us names of people we both know and the network of families in this community. Connection happened. He and I have a common heritage and celebrated our memories. The interesting thing about this encounter is that it centered in the church. I was there in the church. In other words we are talking about the community of Christ…love, friendship, support, encouragement, faith….yes, we are all God's children and we need one another. Jesus has chosen you and me to be his friend and through us he brings others into friendship with Holy Spirit. We are not only children of God we are also friends and friends bless one another. You never know what will come out of conversation with a new acquaintance.

> "…TO OPEN YOUR ARMS TO WHAT IS INSTEAD OF WAITING UNTIL IT IS WHAT IT SHOULD BE…" — THESE WORDS COME FROM BARBARA TAYLOR IN HER BOOK, "AN ALTAR IN THE WORLD". SHE IS WRITING ABOUT BENEDICTION/BLESSING. I HAVE A NEW APPRECIATION FOR THE PLACE OF BLESSING IN LIFE. I GREW UP IN A HOME WHERE WE HAD THE BLESSING AT EACH MEAL. OVER A PERIOD OF NEARLY 50 YEARS I GAVE THE BENEDICTION AT THE CLOSE OF WORSHIP. I SAID SOMETHING LIKE THE BLESSINGS OF GOD THE FATHER, THE SON, THE HOLY SPRIT GO WITH YOUR AND REMAIN WITH YOU. IT IS BETTER TO SAY BLESSINGS TO ONE ANOTHER THAN TO SAY CURSES. IF SOMEONE PULLS IN FRONT OF YOU IN TRAFFIC INSTEAD OF CURSING JUST SAY A BLESSING UPON THAT PERSON. IT MAY NOT CHANGE HIM BUT IT WILL DO WONDERS FOR YOUR ATTITUDE AND SPIRIT.
