We all go through tough times

>
>
> I read the following thoughts this morning-they spoke to me-I share them with you.- "Plans are established by taking advice;...." (Proverbs 20:18) - "We all go through tough times. It's how we deal with them and what we learn from them that defines who we are. The Lord has a purpose for them all." --"Father, Your purpose is our good. Let us be aware of the ways You work in our lives." ...... these thoughts are copied from "Daily Guideposts 2012" ..... I pray these thoughts will be light and energy in your minds and hearts today.

in the final analysis

>
>
> Mother Teresa was a Roman Catholic Nun. She founded the "Missionaries of Charity" in Calcutta, India in 1950. For 45 years she ministered to the poor, sick, orphaned, dying. Many times she may have felt hers was a thankless job, but she did it anyway and faithfully. Some times she may have felt that even God had forsaken these troubled and desperate people, but she kept on serving their needs anyway.Other people may not understand or appreciate the good she was doing but she did it anyway. It is said of her that she concluded: "You see, in the final analysis, it is all between you and God; it never was between you and them anyway." ---- In the final analysis for every person--- IT IS BETWEEN YOU AND GOD.

Better to get wisdom than gold

>
>
> Better to get wisdom than to get gold. Wisdom comes when you learn from your mistakes. God help me to learn.
>

The Foolish Person

>
> The foolish person makes mistakes and does not learn from them--the wise person makes mistakes and realizes the error of his/her ways. The result is insight, understanding, empathy, and character growth.

Rest in Peach

"He makes me lie down in green pastures; he leads me beside still waters; he restores my soul." - Psalm 23 -  the confidence prayer continues. We can rest in peace because we trust the care and keeping of our Shepherd, our needs are satisfied, we are restored in our soul. I know, all this sounds crazy when we are consumed in the troubles of the world and our own personal troubles, but faith matters, spiritual  matters, God matters always rise above the "realities" of now and enables us to trust to the perspective of eternal love. Thus our total being(mind, body, spirit) has a  chance to be restored and see things wisely. The confidence prayer that allows jus to pause....

Psalm is Confidence

>
>
> In some recent Bible study reading I came across the thought that the 23rd Psalm is a CONFIDENCE psalm. The writer sees this psalm as a place we go in our minds when we are afraid. I realize how wonderfully true this is. I find myself praying this psalm either in its entirety or parts of it as I feel the need. To think that The Lord Is My Shepherd therefore I have everything I need is confidence thinking.

Fwd: thought

"....HE WAS AFRAID TO GO THERE." (Matt. 2:22) -- Joseph had to make a decision about where to move his family. Fortunately for baby Jesus and all his posterity, his earthy father answered the wisdom beyond the fear he felt for the safety of his family. === Wise parents recognize the proper place of fear as a warning signal and listens to the truth, the danger, the foolishness of continuing a certain path or behavior.

My Soul Finds Rest in God Alone

>ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE WHAT GOD WANTS YOU TO DO? UNTIL YOU CAN SAY

THE CHALLENGES YOU FACE ARE OPPORTUNITIES TO DISCOVER HIDDEN TALENTS AND TO STRENGTHEN YOUR CHARACTER MUSCLES.

Fwd: thought

Stephen, in the New Testament Church, was selected to oversee the administration of food and care to widows and orphans. He was a Spirit centered person who performed this ministry as his way of serving God by helping persons in need. I see two meanings: 1) a person needs a strong and healthy relationship with God. 2) a person needs to be available and willing to serve wherever the need arises. Whatever your work, offer it as a service to God's in the world.

Content to just be. Not performing, Not positioning. Simply be. Feel, imagine, sense the soft brushing of breeze. -- "I have learned this secret, so that anywhere, at any time, I am content, whether I am full or hungry, whether I have too much or too little. I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me." (Philippans  4: 12,13)

This is a great day, thanks be to God.

Good Friday

On this Good Friday we remember it is all about God's Will being done.  Jesus will pray in the Garden that he not have to go through the pain and suffering facing him but his final prayer was that if this must be then God's will be done. Jesus had been living his life anchored in the service of his heavenly Father. Thus he faced the moment and was able to live into and through the experience of now.

He made this sacrifice of his life, taking our guilt upon himself, thus enabling us to rise above the problem, failure, sin, trouble of now and do what we are created to do--the will of God: good, kindness, mercy,

Therefore, my work, your work in life is more than career, family, government, sickness, disappointment, mistakes....it is the work of God: good, love, encouragement, forgiveness, patience, kindness....faithfulness, and all other characteristics of our Creator.

"MY FATHER, IF IT IS POSSIBLE, LET THIS CUP PASS FROM ME; YET NOT WHAT I WANT BUT WHAT YOU WANT." --Matthew 26: 39--

> "LOVE IS PATIENT AND KIND; IT IS NOT JEALOUS OR CONCEITED OR PROUD; LOVE IS NOT ILL-MANNERED OR SELFISH OR IRRITABLE; LOVE DOES NOT KEEP A RECORD OF WRONGS; LOVE IS NOT HAPPY WITH EVIL, BUT IS HAPPY WITH THE TRUTH. LOVE NEVER GIVES UP; AND ITS FAITH, HOPE, AND PATIENCE NEVER FAIL. LOVE IS ETERNAL....----1 Corinthians 13: 4-8 (TEV) --- AND THIS IS ANOTHER DIMENSION OF HOLY WEEK/EASTER.---IT IS PRACTICAL AND IT WORKS WHEN OUR CENTRAL FOCUS IN LIFE IS TO KNOW AND DO GOD'S WILL MORE THAN "MY" WILL......until we move into this place of grace in our minds and hearts we are unable to really see the now in the light of eternity. (some things to ponder this day)
>

God's love and sacrifice on our behalf

>
> In the Christian heritage this whole week is Holy Week reminding us of God's love and sacrifice and victory on our behalf. Love incarnate in Christ calls each person to let love live and reveal itself in us. --Love is the binding energy in our relationships. Love suffers when the one we love suffers. Love rejoices when the one we love rejoices. Love stays and helps the loved to see when seeing is not easy. Love continues patiently when rebuffed by the one being loved. Love encourages when the one loved is discouraged.......and this just keeps on multiplying.......It is this Love that is the real answer to all human needs === this is the nature of God in us.....and love makes us new each day, each moment.....

Miracles

>
>
> "MIRACLES DO NOT HAPPEN IN CONTRADICTION OF NATURE, BUT IN CONTRADICTION OF WHAT WE KNOW ABOUT NATURE." ---Saint Augustine (A.D. 354-430) --- Easter, the resurrection of Jesus, is beyond our comprehension; therefore we may dismiss it as a contradiction of "reality" but this only speaks to our ignorance and arrogance. With open minds and open hearts we ponder the mysteries of life/death/resurrection and along the way Holy Spirit breaths and moves within us with renewal, hope, love.....resurrection.....

Faith over Fear

"In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths." (Proverbs 3: 6) -- I HAVE LIVED LONG ENOUGH TO REALIZE THAT LIFE WORKS BEST WHEN I GET OUT OF THE WAY AND LET IT WORK-WHEN I CHOSE FAITH OVER FEAR-TRUST OVER CYNICISM.

Holy Week begins today

IF GOD IS IN ME NOW, I CAN TURN AWAY FROM FEAR OR WHATEVER IS CONTRARY TO FREEDOM AND LOVE AND WELL BEING. MY MIND CAN FEED ON HEALTHY THOUGHTS. MY SPIRIT IS RENEWED EACH DAY. "O GIVE THANKS TO THE LORD, FOR HE IS GOOD; HIS STEADFAST LOVE ENDURES FOREVER." (Psalm 116: 1) -- This is a scripture for Palm Sunday. Today we celebrate the beginning of Holy Week.- the days leading to Easter Sunday. During these days we remember the suffering and sacrifice Christ made on our behalf. We remember that whatever good we have has been paid for by someone else and when we trace it to the source we realize it is the gift of God. Let that reality  embrace mind, body, spirit.
