love your neighbor (march 26, 2008)

“love your neighbor as yourself…” --- the central message here is to love ourselves. we love ourselves when we do what is good for ourselves. when we eat healthy, exercise healthy, read/think healthy, nurture emotions healthy, nurture spirit healthy. ---- then out of a healthy self-love, we are able to pour out blessings of love onto others. Some of those we are loving  make it hard for us to love them, but out of the great wisdom flowing out of our healthy love of our selves we are able to deal wisely with the hard to love person. ---- now, this loving ourselves has to be done in the way that works best for you and the Spirit is always nudging us into the way that works best for us.


I love me, even imperfect me, and I love you too!!!!!  ---and I rejoice when I see you loving yourself healthy……

THERE WAS A HARMONIUS REALITY UNDERLYING THE LAWS OF THE UNIVERSE, EINSTEIN FELT, AND THE GOAL OF SCIENCE WAS TO DISCOVER IT. traveling through life

There is a old song in which are the words, “this world is not my home, I am just traveling through…” --- this is a mediation thought: we are not the owners, we do not finally have the title to any property, not even our bodies. So let us pause, ponder, give thanks and see what this day in the journey has for us. whether the weather is good or bad we are traveling in Providence and Eternal Love. – a helpful guide is to be good stewards of our body and the physical world in which we live for now….

Advertisements of all kinds have their own agenda and it is not always grounded in truth or in your well-being. Everyone needs  to be Spiritually Centered to discern the wise and foolish influences of daily life. Our Judeo/Christian heritage teaches us that God will always be true to  his name: truth, goodness, love, redemption…….so then we do well to live in trust and faithfulness to the PRESENCE/WORD/ORDER that is the life force in us.

Oasis

“….he makes me lie down in green pastures, he lead me beside still waters….” – many times we find ourselves in desert times of life. We feel depleted. Just don’t feel like getting up and getting at the load to be done….pause, listen, see from your inner world and realize the rest place and refresh place coming up from your soul. Lie down in the middle of the desert and become aware of the oasis-not a mirage, but Oasis-seems to me the writer of the 23^rd Psalm knew this experience.

Maybe there is some truth somewhere in these words for you or me today…
