Forces of Nature

God moves in mysterious ways his wonders to perform

"God moves in mysterious ways his wonders to perform.....God is his own interpreter, And will make it plain. (Hymn by William Cowper 1731-1800) Cowper was a troubled person who suffered periods of insanity; however, he found comfort and enabling grace in Jesus Christ and his hymns are included in many Christian churches. another example of how God works in and with us despite our frailties. therefore offer whatever you are and let the miracle happen.... dad/papa

Hope

"Uphold me according to your promise....let me not be put to shame in my hope." (Psalm 119:116) trouble in one form or another comes across our path and we never know when it will show up. It can cause us no small amount of anxiety and pain. I don't understand why all this has to be, but I would rather trust the One who sees the big picture than be consumed in despair. This quote speaks to me. "Every time i work myself into a self-indulgent state of gloom, God surprises me with a ray of hope." (Weavings) -- Hope is the name of the game, not matter what the rest of the world may think...

"But peace comes when a man realizes that the sum total of things is under the direction of one whose name is Father and whose heart is love. The call of God is a summons to men to find the peace of realizing that the world is their Father's house." (Wm Barclay) It is this realization that brings sanity and worthy purpose to a person's life experiences... dad/papa Bill Edwards revwge@me.com twitter @revwge Sent from my Verizon Wireless BlackBerry

"AN ANXIOUS HEART WEIGHS A MAN DOWN, BUT A KIND WORD CHEERS HIM UP." (Proverbs 12:25) -- a simple kind word can make the day for the frazzled person you meet along the way. a kind word can lighten the load of a heavy heart and you may not even realize you have helped the person.......

"IN REALITY THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A NON-HANDICAPPED LIFE.....TRUE HEALTH IS THE STRENGTH TO LIVE, THE STRENGTH TO SUFFER, AND THE STRENGTH TO DIE. HEALTH IS NOT A CONDITION OF MY BODY; IT IS THE POWER OF MY SOUL TO COPE WITH THE VARYING CONDITION OF THAT BODY." THESE THOUGHTS COME FROM PHILIP YANCEY'S BOOK, "WHERE IS GOD WHEN IT HURTS?". IN A SENSE THIS TOUGHT CHALLENGES CONVENTIONAL WISDOM. IT PRODS US TO THINK OF LIFE IN OUR BODIES IN A DIFFERENT WAY. IT CALLS US TO EMBRACE THE "HANDICAPPED" PERSON AS BEING ONE OF US.

".....according to the promise he made to our ancestors, to Abraham and to his descendants forever." (Luke 1:55) -- no way are we ever alone in this world. We are persons of a powerful heritage. We are persons living in God's fulfilling of his promise to our ancestors. That promise is fulfilled in Christ and as Christ people that promise is lived in our lives, even if we are not perfect. We belong--eternally.....

"But his delight is in the law of the Lord, and on his law he meditates day and night." (Psalms 1:2) --our minds are cluttered with thoughts of every kind. When we are grounded in God's Word and meditate on it's meaning in this time and place of life, we experience inner peace, stirring of desire to make good use of the moment and not waste life on temporary things values........ dad/papa
