Trust the Lord

We do not like "I don't know" when the doctor cannot explain our illness. We expect God to answer our prayers and get upset when the answer is silence. Some things just are is reality in life. "Trust the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding …." (Proverbs 3:5) Many times as I deal with some issue and am fearful these words come to the surface of my mind and point me in the right direction….Some things just are and God is with you in the anxiety of not knowing.

These quotes came from THE UPPER ROOM devotional book Oct. 31, 1972. I saved these thoughts

because at that time they meant something important to me. I share them now because they still speak

to our human need for embracing love just as we are and in this we find what we need to be the better 

person God intends us to be. 

Our political and social environment is so toxic we need some anchor truth to keep our balance.
