Fwd: thought

"God is spirit and those who worship him must worship in spirit and  truth." (John 4: 24) -  spirit to spirit-stillness, quietness, soft breeze in the forest-spirit moving. What is seen is a result of what is not seen with the human eye. It is a matter of faith that sets the stage for us to realize the unseen, intangible meanings and force of life. It is in faith that a person senses the Presence/Spirit. You are more than what is seen. At the core you are in essence spirit. ---- ponder this.....

Fwd: THOUGHT

>
> Here I sit in the early morning. Boci sits on the back of the sofa looking out the window. This is quiet time, listening time, awareness time, sensing the flow of life time and gratefully flowing in PRESENCE-WORD-ORDER. THE EVER FLOWING WORK OF CREATION. TRUSTING THE MIND AND PURPOSE AND TIMING OF HOLY SPIRIT. AMEN.

We are forward looking creatures

>
>
> We are forward looking creatures. It is scary to have nothing to look forward to. Some things we look to are temporary and soon gone. Some things we look to are a life time in coming. We look forward to the next toy. we look forward to the next trip, vacation. These things come and go. But to look forward to a rich and meaningful relationship with God is a experience that never ends. Our spiritual relationship with Presence,Word,Order is on going, ever developing and always relevant to what is current in one's life. Today I look forward to what God is going to be doing and that I can participate in.......This is another take on FAITH LIVING....."ready,set,go.." and Spirit says, "you are invited to participate..."

Sometimes God's Answer is silence

>
>
> Call upon the Lord and He will answer your prayer. But be open to His answer in His time and way. Sometimes God's answer is silence that allows you to become aware of Presence and Word within you.

Scripture

"And as thy days, so shall thy strength be.." (Deuteronomy 33:25) -- this is one of my faith mantras...I experienced my first MRI yesterday. Interesting. What to do while closed up in that tight place. I closed my eyes and spent my time quoting and thinking about scripture verses. I spent a good bit of time going through the life and experiences of Joseph as his life unfolded in the strange country of Egypt. Our aunt Mary Pope used to tell me that when she could not go to sleep at night she would quote scripture instead of count sheep. All of this speaks to the exercising of faith in our daily journey...whatever the day brings I/you will have what we need to deal with it wisely, in faith.....

Heritage on Father's Day

>
>
> HE NEVER TALKED OF HIS FAITH OR MADE PUBLIC DISPLAY OF HIS RELIGIOUS THINKING. THE ONLY PRAYER I EVER HEARD HIM SAY WAS AT MEAL TIME AND THAT WOULD BE, "THANK THE LORD FOR BREAKFAST." (DINNER,SUPPER); HOWEVER, I LOOK DOWN THE CORRIDORS OF MEMORY AND SEE MOMENTS OF COMPASSION HE EXPRESSED WHEN HEARING OF SOMEONE IN GREAT NEED OR SUFFERING. HE WAS A MAN OF HONESTY AND INTEGRITY, AND THIS IS THE HERITAGE HE LEFT ME.....

Whoever believes in me will live, even though he dies

>
>
> He had recently learned that cancer was working its way in his lungs. At one point he said to me and others, "I am a walking dead man." For some reason this morning I am hearing those words from my brother. Although he lived every day dealing with his illness he chose to focus on living. He placed his trust in the over arching plan and purpose of God and celebrated life each day. The truth of the matter is every one is a walking dead person in as much as sooner or later we are going to die. We have the invitation of Christ when he says, "I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me will live, even though he dies; and whoever lives and believes in me will never die." (John 11: 25,26) My brother chose to trust God to glorify Himself in the course of his illness knowing that ultimately he would really be healed, eternally.

Faith

>
>
> "NOW FAITH IS BEING SURE OF WHAT WE HOPE FOR AND CERTAIN OF WHAT WE DO NOT SEE,....." -Hebrews 11: 1 - I recently read that Einstein said, "Imagination is more important than knowledge." Now it seems to me this speaks to the matter of faith. Faith and imagination go hand in glove as we travel the moments and days and experiences of life in this world. As I think back over the years my imagination and faith have worked to bring me where I am and will see me beyond the horizons toward which I am headed.

For we walk by faith

>
>
> "For we walk by faith(regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man's relationship to God and divine things, with trust ....; thus we walk) not by sight or appearance." -11 Corinthians 5:7- faith lets us know there is more to this "story" / life than meets the eye; therefore in faith we live in constant adventure and discovery of creation and along the way we grow in the likeness of Creator. The result? ,,,,,

anxious heart

>
>
> "AN ANXIOUS HEART WEIGHS A MAN DOWN, BUT A KIND WORD CHEERS HIM UP." (Proverbs 12:25) -- a simple kind word can make the day for the frazzled person you meet along the way. a kind word can lighten the load of a heavy heart and you may not even realize you have helped the person.......

Faith

>

> FAITH IS MORE THAN INTELLECTUAL ACTIVITY. FAITH IF GREATER THAN INTELLECT WHILE AT THE SAME TIME ENGAGING INTELLECT. FAITH EMBRACES ALL LIFE, ALL EXPERIENCE. FAITH BECOMES THE FRAME OF REFERENCE IN WHICH WE LIVE, MOVE, AND HAVE OUR BEING.

Have faith and trust in the Invisible Presence

"..we consider...look not to the things that are seen but to the things that are unseen; for the things that are visible are temporal(brief and fleeting), but the things that are invisible are deathless and everlasting." -11 Corinthians 4:18- It is raining this morning and I am enjoying sitting quietly looking out from the comfort of my room at the rain pouring blessings upon the trees, flowers, grass, earth. I see this and enjoy the beauty but know that even as I look these things I see are temporary. But I also know they are the result of the unseen Providence of our loving and redeeming God. I can keep my balance, sense of meaning and purpose in the midst of all the visible creation in which I live because I have faith and trust in the Invisible Presence transcending all time and place; yet personally present in the here and now. This blessing I pray for you all day long wherever you may find yourself at any moment.....

I'd rather have Jesus

Everyone is vulnerable in some way. We need real friends at our back when we are vulnerable. Not people who enable our vulnerability.

Violence. So much violence. People at a funeral are murdered apparently in a act of retaliation. It creates more pain and hatred. Violence breeds violence.

There is a better way. It is the way of the Prince of peace.

"Blessed are the peace makers...."

I'd rather have Jesus than silver and gold. -  Geo Beverly Shey-

this calls for faith......

Fwd: thought

>>
>> My insecurities are demonic. They would devastate my mind-demoralize my spirit-invade my body in the form of unhealthy habits-sabatoge my relationships. But that is not the end of the story. "I lift up my eyes to the hills--from where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth." (Ps. 121:1) - This is another act of faith.
