I have looked and listened as Pope Francis lives the moments of his journey in Washington, New York and Philadelphia. Certain words  come to mind: being in the moment, comfortable in his own skin, slow, available, touching, grounded in Christ, living his values, intimate, universal, open, spiritual Body of Christ, not authoritative  but simply calling us to the heart of Christ……it comes to my mind that our job is not to fix the world but to live our witness and trust the Presence to be manifest in our presence……..do you have thoughts to share??

For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind. (2 Timothy 1:7 KJV) - POWER,LOVE,SOUND MIND. These words tell us God's intent for us. Hold your shoulders up and look the world, life straight in the face. Make no apology for who you are. You belong here and the one who put here empowers you to live confidently and purposefully, to love fully and deeply, and the shadow you cast will be shade and comfort for those who come you way—not fear but power, love, sound mind……..blessings all day long.

"ALL YOUR CHILDREN SHALL BE TAUGHT BY THE LORD…" (Isaiah 54:13) — parents do what they can, teachers in our schools give it their best, life has its own ways of instructing us; yet all this is for naught until we awaken to the truth and our need for the Truth, Love, Forgiveness, Redemption that God has for us in the life and teachings of Christ. God must smile the moment it dawns on our awareness what is really important….from that moment we head in a new direction and life really becomes worthwhile, no matter what……

BEWARE OF OLD PEOPLE. THEY CAN PUT YOU IN YOUR PLACE QUCK. I SAW A FRIEND AT THE MIAL PLACE IN OUR COMMUNITY. SHE ASKED ABOUT LIZ. I TOLD HER SHE WOULD BE 83 IN TOW DAYS. HER RESPONSE WAS, "SHE IS YOUNG." HOW OLD ARE YOU I ASKED, "I AM 85". I SAID WELL, "YOU DON'T ACT LIKE IT." SHE SAID, "I HOPE NOT" I HAVE DISCOVERED THAT WHEN YOU GET INTO CONVERSATION WITH OLDER ADULTS THEY CAN BE QUICK TO "ONE UP" ON YOU. I GUESS THE LITTLE CHILD IN EACH OF US NEVER REALLY DIES. "I AM ONE UP ON YOU" WE ARE ALERT TO SAY. WELL, "ONCE A MAN, TWICE A CHILD." —— GOD LOVES US ANYWAY AND BLESSINGS AND LOVE UPON YOU TOO….
