Beautiful couple

"To love and cherish….in sickness and health."… and in old age and disabilities. The relationship between a wife and husband evolves. I guess it is a matter of growing together. We grow together when we are young. We grow together when we have children. We grow together when we become grandparents. We grow together in all the varied experiences of pain, heartache, success and failure. Good times and bad and we hang in there and grow together. Finally we grow old together. This is a growing time in which we are more mindful of time running out. Make every moment count. Hold onto each other spiritually and physically. Sometimes we may have to hold each other up to stay on our feet. All the time as we live, cry, laugh the stages and experiences we LOVE AND CHERISH EACH OTHER….. THANKS BE TO GOD, OUR SOLID ROCK FOUNDATION...

This World is Not Our Own

>
>
> "….humility and the recognition that as human beings we can't solve everything or control all aspects of life. We need others…….We are not created for independence or self-sufficiency, but for interdependence and mutual support." The speaker of these words lives in exile because a foreign government rules his native land. The people of Israel lived forty years in exile. In some ways we all live at times in what feels like exile because we are in circumstance not of our own choosing. There is an old hymn that says, "this world is not my home.." While we are here we need one another. To accept this opens us to more powerful and abundant living. Let us give thanks to God for one another.

Compassion

>
>
> We cannot fix all the wrong in the world. We cannot pass enough laws to prevent evil from breaking out. What we can do is be compassionate. Compassion can penetrate the hardest shells of anger, bitterness, fear, disillusionment......respond compassionately and see what happens, in yourself and in others.
