WE are part of God's Story

> "I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith." - 2 Timothy 4:7 - Paul is older, Timothy is the younger student of Christ. One is sort of passing on to the other. There is something continuous in this communication. Speaks to me of the relationship we have with one another from age to age, generation to generation. As Paul reflects on his own life he is remembering his own journey, he has not always succeeded in his endeavors, he has not lived a perfect life, but at the point he has reached he can say he has kept his faith centered in God's work in Christ and in himself. One of the blessings of my present place in the race of life is realizing the continuousness of my own experience as I observe my children and grandchildren as well as younger preachers i have worked with in the past. There is meaning and richness in the sense that we are part of the story God is telling and it spans eternity. Every stage is important, every person is valuable and we keep the faith no matter how faltering it may sometimes be.
