(William Barclay) -- i think a fundamental characteristic of God is not vengeance but reconnecting relationship with humans. And the amazing thing is God does not wait for us to make the first move toward restoration but is already starting toward us before we realize it. However for this relationship to happen we have to say "yes" too and start our own steps toward the ultimate Love Giver. deep in our psyche we need to trust/ experience this truth for healing in us to progress.
