Doing Good Together in the Body of Christ

> "Now you are the body of Christ, and members individually." (1 Corinthians 12:27) - "But as for you….do not grow weary in doing good." (1Thessalonians 3:13) - In the first we hear the clear message that we are not in this alone. We are connected through our relationship with Christ. We are the continuation of His presence and work in the world, in each generation. In the second we hear that our work in this world is to do good wherever we are. This means we are never without a job. We can do good no matter our age or our state of health. Do not minimize you power to do good wherever you are. After two weeks of listening to political rhetoric I am keenly aware that the "body of Christ" people need to stay on the job and be alert to the need for doing good at all times….

Peace

Stop yourself when you are making your peace dependent on outer circumstances. (Dyer) 

More money, more security, more police presence still does not give the sure peace we yearn for.

Peace that comes from Spirit of truth/ Presence of God establishes us in inner peace….(John 14;25-27)

The Ground is Shifting

It has been that way from the moment of my conception and even before that……there is no point or place in life where we can sit back and quit. It is imperative that I trust Author and Finisher of all creation. Then I don't quit but go with the flow/nature of creation. "The earth is the Lords and the fullness thereof; the world and they that dwell therein." (Psalms 24: 1)- In these words I send my prayer that you experience the blessings of life all day long and forever.

The sun slowly pushes the night away and brings light to a new day The light shines upon sadness, grief, heartbreak, evil intent The light also reveals the way for persons binding wounds, saving life The light shines into hearts to restore hope, to heal hurt Today, O Lord, let The Light fill my inner space enabling me to be a positive and encouraging presence to all who cross my path This is my prayer for each one reading these thoughts.

.This is what we do when terrorist murder dozens of people
. It is a act of real humanity when persons immediately respond to help, heal, bind wounds
