> "Look to the Lord and his strength; seek his face always." (Psalms 105:4)-"My heart says of you, 'Seek his face!' Your face, Lord, I will seek." (Psalms 27:8) - Jody called my attention to Psalms 105:4 and I cross referenced it to Psalms 27:8. The word "face" is significant. I have become more aware of faces. I see people on tv and try to read their faces. The face of a person reveals the person. The face lets you know if that person is really with you, really listening to you, really friending you. The face of God reveals the love, kindness, open heart of God. The face of God is the presence of God in your mind/heart. And no one can show the face of God like your face reveals your heart of kindness and love. The face shows pain, anger, sorrow, compassion, joy.

Focused on You Personally
>
> "Doth not he see my ways, and count all my steps?" (Job 31:4) This is specific, focused. God is paying attention to me, you. God is aware of us, each one. God is not just generally aware of us, but specifically. Therefore, whatever is happening with you or me at any moment Holy Spirit is with us specifically. Thanks be to God.

Easter 2016
>
> Whoever we are and whatever is going on in our lives sometime during this day we have been reminded that this is RESURRECTION DAY in the Christian heritage. The first thing seen on the TV is about boomings, insults candidates throw at one another and trouble of every kind all over creation. If one thinks about this one way he/she would likely conclude everything is going to hell therefore we had better take care of ourselves and just survive. On the other hand a person can think about all this from a faith point of view. There is One seeing the Big Picture, one who has allowed humanity to follow its own course while knowing all the time Creation, Resurrection, Redemption has the final word. We do the best we can under the circumstances of the moment and God have mercy on us….Resurrection bears that out…..so we keep on living and trust Loving Spirit. Thanks be to God.

God is Center
>IT'S NOT THE ONE WHO PLANTS OR THE ONE WHO WATERS WHO IS AT THE CENTER OF THIS PROCESS BUT GOD, WHO MAKES THINGS GROW. (The Message) These words were written to the early church admonishing them to stop taking sides about who was the big shot leader. While each may have certain leaders they related to best the important reality is God is center. All the rest of us do our jobs carrying out the work God gives us but all is centered in God. — As Jesus moved toward the crucifixion he remained centered in the One Who Makes Things Grow.

Love Lifted Me
>
> "Love lifted me. When nothing else could help, love lifted me." - From early childhood going to Turkey Branch Methodist Church and through many years as pastor in small country churches in South Ga and North Ga Methodism "Love Lifted Me.." rang clear and strong. People sang from the heart. Some sang remembering how God's Love sustained them through many times of heartache and in times of celebrating life joys. This morning I sat at my dest and these words floated up out of my inner memory. Love lifted me felt warm, comforting, reassuring, like the breath of God upon the fire of life in me. I typed the words and the Bill Gaither choir sang this beautiful hymn and I felt the Presence of God embracing me.— Today, Lord, I ask that all who read these thoughts will feel Your lifting love all through their being... and thank You. Amen.
