"You don't need to be rich to have a rich life." (Rachael Ray, her mother taught her this saying) ---sometimes persons who do become materially rich testify to the fact that this kind of wealth does not enrich the heart. I remember being on a panel of pastors discussing various aspect of ministry. Someone asked a question that I responded to and talked about quality ministry not being dependent upon "climbing the ladder". One of the ministers in the audience said I could say that when I was in one of the "larger" churches. I have remembered that. I understand how he felt, but I also know it is all relative. He would not have understood if I told him some of my greatest moments had been those in small churches sitting around the table visiting and sharing the stories of a family.  ambition and working to excel are important factors in succeeding in life—as long as we remember that these are not the whole of life value and meaning.

He is in the hospital waiting for open heart surgery. He is a highly educated, scientific mind; yet as he awaits surgery he has only three things that keep him steady in his mind and heart: FAITH,HOPE,LOVE. these do not require any scientific proof. They are simply the heart beat of his soul.
