BE CERTAIN OF ONE TRUTH: THE HOLY SPIRIT IS AT WORK IN YOU AND THE WORK OF HOLY SPIRIT IS ALWAYS AND ONLY GOOD. YOU ARE STILL BEING CREATED ACCORDING TO THE PURPOSE OF GOD FOR YOU.

Scripture

"All scripture is inspired by God and is useful for teaching the truth , rebuking error, correcting faults, and giving instruction for right living…" (2 Timothy 3:16) - The truth is its own authority. When I read scripture truth speaks to me, awakens me, instructs me, comforts me, encourages me, holds me accountable, forgives me and renews my spirit and mind, engages my intellect…..The life of Christ makes these words clear to us as we travel this unfinished world…Blessings and love,

"And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us….full of grace and truth." (John 1:14) - Today fifteen years ago our nation was attacked by terrorists. Today we pause to remember those who died and those who went afterward to save. Many of the first responders died as they endeavored to save persons trapped in the towers. In the days that followed people from across our country went as volunteers to help in the aftermath of destruction. Our friends, Patty and Curt Strickland from Augusta, went. Our enemy meant us evil but our people responded in hope and love to help..This was a contemporary statement of the Word becoming flesh. acting to meet the needs of others, full of grace and truth.

Do Your Very Best

> "Do your best in the job you received from the Master. Do your very best" (Colossians 4: 17 MSG) At the end of the day it is our relationship with God that matters and our faithfulness in the work we are talented to do….this is the thought I am paying attention to this day….

Labor

"Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest……" (Matt. 11:28)- labor is more than survival. Labor expresses who we are. Labor is our response to God calling us to participate in creation. Labor is a gift and our labor is a act of stewardship. In our labor we are accountable to our Creator. Labor also requires rest. How we rest is important. Rest in Christ. Christ labored and went off into lonely places alone to rest. Rest in faith, trust, hope. And by the way…labor expresses love.

Faith

WHEN THE MOMENT IS TURBULENT, KEEP ME MINDFUL OF THE DEPTH THAT IS NOT DETERMINED BY THE MOMENT OF UPSET ON THE SURFACE. KEEP ME HEALTHY IN ETERNAL LOVE AT MY CORE. Let faith,  hope, love abide and the greatest of these is love.
