God is Center

>IT'S NOT THE ONE WHO PLANTS OR THE ONE WHO WATERS WHO IS AT THE CENTER OF THIS PROCESS BUT GOD, WHO MAKES THINGS GROW. (The Message) These words were written to the early church admonishing them to stop taking sides about who was the big shot leader. While each may have certain leaders they related to best the important reality is God is center. All the rest of us do our jobs carrying out the work God gives us but all is centered in God. — As Jesus moved toward the crucifixion he remained centered in the One Who Makes Things Grow.

Love Lifted Me

People sang from the heart. Some sang remembering how God's Love sustained them through many times of heartache and in times of celebrating life joys. This morning I sat at my dest and these words floated up out of my inner memory. Love lifted me felt warm, comforting, reassuring, like the breath of God upon the fire of life in me. I typed the words and the Bill Gaither choir sang this beautiful hymn and I felt the Presence of God embracing me.— Today, Lord, I ask that all who read these thoughts will feel Your lifting love all through their being... and thank You. Amen.

Prayer and Peace

ONE REASON I PRAY IS IT KEEPS ME MINDFUL OF THE BIG PICTURE. (KINGDOM OF GOD BUSINESS IN THE WORLD). THE MOMENT HELD ACCOUNTABLE TO GOD’S VISION AND WILL. THIS MEANS WHEN THINGS ARE TROUBLED IN THE PRESENT I CONSIDER AND FEEL THEM IN TERMS OF ETERNITY. I CAN SURVIVE THE MOMENT BECAUSE I TRUST GOD AT WORK IN THE SITUATION. THIS WAY OF BEING IS NOT ARRIVED AT BY THINKING LOGICALLY, IT COMES FROM TRUSTING THE WILL OF GOD. “COME TO ME ALL WHO LABOR AND ARE CARRYING HEAVY BURDENS, AND I WILL GIVE YOU REST. TAKE MY YOKE UPON YOU AND LEARN FROM ME;FOR I AM GENTLE AND HUMBLE IN HEART, AND YOU WILL FIND REST FOR YOUR SOULS. FOR MY YOKE IS EASY, AND MY BURDEN IS LIGHT.” (Matthew 11:28-30)

Come to Jesus

> It is time to have a "Come to Jesus" meeting. this is a saying I have heard over the years. It has to do with "getting our act together" or recognizing what is really important in life, time to put first things first. We all have need for this many times on the road of living. Every day starts with the feeling and awareness that I am accountable to God and the Will of God has been made clear in the life and person of Jesus Christ. When I put "all my beans in that basket" my life begins to come together around the solid core of truth and goodness and in faith and trust I move forward into whatever is yet to come….I need to stay close to this truth because I have made many mistakes and failed to live according the best I know many times, yet God is faithful and lets me start anew over and over and over…..
