"IN REALITY THERE IS NO SUCH THING AS A NON-HANDICAPPED LIFE.....TRUE HEALTH IS THE STRENGTH TO LIVE, THE STRENGTH TO SUFFER, AND THE STRENGTH TO DIE. HEALTH IS NOT A CONDITION OF MY BODY; IT IS THE POWER OF MY SOUL TO COPE WITH THE VARYING CONDITION OF THAT BODY." THESE THOUGHTS COME FROM PHILIP YANCEY'S BOOK, "WHERE IS GOD WHEN IT HURTS?". IN A SENSE THIS TOUGHT CHALLENGES CONVENTIONAL WISDOM. IT PRODS US TO THINK OF LIFE IN OUR BODIES IN A DIFFERENT WAY. IT CALLS US TO EMBRACE THE "HANDICAPPED" PERSON AS BEING ONE OF US.

We are persons living in God's fulfilling of his promise to our ancestors. That promise is fulfilled in Christ and as Christ people that promise is lived in our lives, even if we are not perfect. We belong--eternally.....

When we are grounded in God's Word and meditate on it's meaning in this time and place of life, we experience inner peace, stirring of desire to make good use of the moment and not waste life on temporary things values........  dad/papa
