> "Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses...." (Hebrews 12: 1) -- Elvie was 90 years old last Saturday. She died yesterday morning with her children and grandchildren gathered around her. She has been one of that crowd of witnesses on earth. Now she is one of the cloud of witnesses in heaven. I go today to participate in her funeral celebration at Bold Spring church. She has been a loving and faithful friend. When I retired in 2000 she was there. This morning I am aware of the cloud of witnesses who cheer and encourage us along the way each day. In a since they walk with us. In the days soon after Marion died Drew said he felt Marion's presence and it was peaceful. This may be a mystery to us, but in God's knowing it is not a mystery. As we walk our road of life today, I am grateful for Elvie, Marion and all others still on earth who are with us to encourage and keep us from being alone. We are all witnesses as we travel in faith and trust.

"...WE KNOW YOU ARE A TEACHER...COME FROM GOD." (John 3: 2) --"THE TEACHER IS HERE AND IS CALLING YOU." (John 11:28) --TEACH:coach, educate, enlighten, explain, guide, explain, nurture, train---he taught educational psychology at the University of Georgia. I remember listening to him and delighting in his words for they were like a light coming on in my mind. -- I was in the 7th grade. Miss West called me to stop by her desk at the end of the class. As I stood there she looked into my eyes and said, "you can be better than that.." I don't remember what I had said or done in class but obviously i had misbehaved. What i do remember is her telling me she cared about me and expected better from me..--RESPECT, HONOR, BLESS THE TEACHER. SHE/HE IS THERE TO TURN ON THE LIGHT IN YOUR MIND AND POINT YOU IN THE RIGHT DIRECTION...
